Bunge of Canada Ltd

Bunge of Canada Ltd. has been operating the elevators in the Port of Québec since 1967. These 600 grain elevators have a capacity to store 225,000 tons. Bunge of Canada’s terminal became one of the most rapid and efficient cereal transhipment centers in North America.

Cribtec has been working in the electrical installations, implementation of automatism and the integration of systems of this center since 1973. The main projects are:

• Electrical work, design and programming for the installation of three gigantic ship loaders for ocean vessels having a capacity of 100 000 bushels/ hr (1 ton per second).
• Electrical, instrumentation and integration of the 750 ton/hour grain cleaning system.
• Electricity and automation for the high speed offloading of unit trains (96 cars in a four hour period) and self unloading terminal (2000 tons/hour).
